The protected green areas maintain the natural appeal of the region. The aesthetic and construction guidelines have been established to promote a polished but tasteful environment throughout the community. Many of these lots are delivered with complete underground infrastructure and deed ready
Our conviction is to respect the land, water, flora and fauna of the region. Every unit has been carefully planned around the welfare of the endemic species. Our team of architects, designers, biologists, archeologists, geologist and constructers has taken into account the importance of keeping the environment in balance and promoting sustainability and an eco-friendly mentality towards nature.
Tulum was recently declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO due to the Mayan ruins located in front of the Caribbean Sea. It is the most popular place of the region with the most stunning views. Tulum is also characterized to be one of the places that turned the ecological concept trendy and it is growing at a quick rate since 2008. This urban growth has also increased the jobs and the population since 2000. The government has also planned a railroad network to increase their communications and the investments.
The sustainable buildings reduce the affections to the environment, but which are the specific benefits of this concept?
The 2014-2018 Inform of the UNDP inform for Mexico, several transversal programs were activated to promote sustainable environment and Green economy. Mexico is focused to promote and develop the aptitudes at the 3 government levels, in the private sector, academy and civil society the environmental protection and a responsible use of natural resources.
The World Green Building Council and the Consejo de la Construcción Verde en Mexico inform that the sustainable building are no longer an option but a human commitment with the environment which allows:
Reducing the CO2 emission up to 35%
Through photovoltaic cells or wind turbines it is possible to increase production up to 20% and after the return rate, up to 6 years the total savings will be remarkable.
Reducing the waste of water through rain catch systems or water faucet controls will save up to 50% of wasted water. This kind of facilities helps to reduce the managing costs of wasted water up to 90%.
Clean areas free of pollutants and energy regulators estimate up to 80% of savings.
ELEMENTS integrates environmental sustainability, low CO2 emissions and Green economy through planning and decision making.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT
AN EDUCATED CONSUMER
The trend towards preserving natural beauty during construction is for the most part consumer driven and is rapidly catching up.
Most homeowners are very much aware of the positive effect that mature trees & shady areas have on their quality of life, not to mention property values. Baron landscape not only creates a major impact on life in the area, but also decreases property value.
Elements directed its full attention and commitment to the Mayan land. Trees, shrubs and other plant have been carefully relocated. A small part of the plants and roots are now being grown in green houses near the community so that the endemic plant specimens may grow and be replanted in their natural jungles habitat, thus reforesting the jungle and perpetuating nature´s balance.
CULMINATION OF THE PROJECT
The ELEMENTS Project began in July 2017 and is expected to be completed in March 2018. Elements by Green Habitat is under construction completing the preliminary draft and renders design.
Experienced builders are becoming increasingly sensitive to preservation of the natural beauty of a home site and many have perfected methods to minimize construction damage to trees, shrubs & other vegetation.
TREES FOUND IN ELEMENTS PROPERTY
To any tree that has to be cut to maneuver by the construction, it will be cut only 10 cm from ground level, leaving the root intact so that it sprouts back after a good rain.
